The Windows interface's code is not available,
but the interface is free. A command line version of 5-SCALE is available
in C. |
|
Some known "problems" with the interface: |
-
The number of simulations
that can be done and viewed has been increased (on a PCs with 128 MB of
ram memory, the number of simulation is very high and should not be a problem,
but on a PC with only 32 MB, 3-4 simulations can be enough to get a blank
screen). As new PCs get more and more memory, this is less of an issue
now. [January 2001]
|
-
When running a second simulation in the USER
DEFINED mode, the display is sometimes erroneous: a points that was not
simulated sometimes appears. [October 1, 1999]
|
-
The "Nadir
function", which was added in 4-Scale 3.1 (and 2.5.1), has not been
validated for SZA less than 20 deg. [October,
1999]
|
-
The proportion of sunlit foliage seen on one
crown (Pti) is not always "smooth" near nadir. This does
not affect much the final result, but may need to be fixed. [May,
2000]
|
-
The HEMISPHERICAL mode may experience problems
if another mode was used before [January,
2000]
|
-
Althought LIBERTY is integrated into 5-Scale,
you need to re-run it everytime you run a simulation in the hyperspectral
mode. [March,
2001]
