| Using a simulated canopy, relationships
between effective LAI and solar zenith can be found in order to correct
the underestimation of LAIe caused by sunlit conditions (Welles and Norman,
1991).
In order to calculate this correction.
The amount of difused radiation in the blue light needs to be estimated
above the canopy (Rayleigh scattering is used in the model) and the amount
of diffused radiation reaching the background needs to be calculated.
