HOW TO CORRECT BRDF EFFECTS WITH 5-SCALE

5-scale was not designed to correct BRDF effects, but to understand BRDF effects. However, using simulated data, it is possible to correct remote sensed data with 5-Scale.

4-Scale has been used to correct the BRDF effect of CASI data taken over several BOREAS sites [7]. Simulations of black spruce forests with different LAI were used with angular distributed reflectances to bring all measuremenst to a common sun-view geometry.

In the PLANE mode, the normalization factor to bring the reflectance to nadir is now plotted.
