Research Interests

Process based carbon (C) cycle modelling, with a focus on Mountain Pine Beetle (MPB) affected areas of interior British Columbia (BC). The unprecedented nature of the current MPB outbreak in BC, with respect to magnitude and rate of spread, can impact C - cycling dramatically. Detailed quantification of C sources and sinks in these areas is the primary objective of my research. Furthermore, the complex interactions between hydrology and biogeochemical cycles are of interest.
